Jesuit High School is a college preparatory and, as such, students graduating from Jesuit will have completed a course of study which satisfies the minimum admissions requirements of most colleges and universities in the United States. Freshmen schedules are determined by reviewing current grades, teacher recommendations, and test scores (both the HSPT taken in January and department designed, curriculum-based placement tests taken in April).
Jesuit offers 24 Honors level and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Numerous other courses are offered as accelerated (XL) placements providing a faster pace of teaching and more in-depth coverage of the standard course material.
If you have not already purchased your second semester books, they need to be ordered now to arrive for second semester classes in January. Click here for the textbook list.
The following classes are typically those that are one-semester long and may require a book. Please check the textbook list to make sure your son has everything required. PE gear can be purchased from the PE teacher at the beginning of the semester.
If you were unable to attend the AP Parent Information Night, we have provided links to the presentation. If your son has any additional questions regarding any class placements, please have him contact his counselor or his current subject teacher.
