Alejandro Báez, S.J.

Alejandro Báez, S.J. is a Jesuit of the California Province. He graduated with bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from St. John’s Seminary College and a master’s degree in Music Education at New York University, where he concentrates on vocal performance and choral/instrumental conducting. He has a teaching license in the State of New York and California. Alejandro has also pursued his musical education at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, the Julliard School of Music and Westminster Choir College of Rider University. In the last year, Alejandro has been singing with the New York Choral Society, New York Master Choral, New York University Choir, Fordham Choir, and St. Ignatius Community Choir. All the chorales have performed at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Skirball Center, and Alice Tully Hall in New York. Alejandro is currently in his 1st year teaching at Jesuit High School in Sacramento. He teaches junior Social Justice & Concert Choir, senior Liturgy Workshop, and senior Chamber singers. He is a moderator for A cappella and Jesuit Rock Band Club.
