Ron Cunha has been involved in Jazz Education for the past 21 years. He has directed award winning jazz ensembles at the High School, Community College and University levels. Ron has served on the faculty at Rio Americano High School, Cosumnes River College, California State University, Sacramento and California State University, Northridge. He founded the CSUS Winter Jazz Festival, the CSUN Summer Jazz Workshop, and is past president of the Northern California chapter of IAJE. Ron has been a professional trombonist for over 25 years and has played with such artists as Henry Mancini, Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Johnny Mathis, Barry Manilow and many others. Mr. Cunha is currently in his 4th year teaching at Jesuit High School in Sacramento and is continually sought after as a jazz festival clinician and adjudicator.
