Driver Training is the “behind the wheel” portion of learning to
drive. Students spend a minimum of six hours with a DMV licensed
driving instructor in a car equipped with dual brakes for
safety. Once you have completed driver education, you will
need to enroll in a driver training program. Jesuit offers a
Driver’s Training program throughout the year with two licensed
instructors who have more than 10 years experience.
Driver’s Education – Summer Class
Completion of a California drivers education course is required
prior to obtaining your learner’s permit, and ultimately
receiving your California drivers license. Students will
learn the basic skills of driving and the California Vehicle
Code. This course fulfills the state requirement of 30
hours of classroom instruction to qualify for a driver’s license
and is only offered during Summer School. When enrolling
for summer school, please remember that all students are required
to attend the full 30 hours. This course does not include
the behind-the-wheel instruction. More information
regarding this summer school class will be posted after April 1
on the summer school site.
