There are three primary areas of need at Jesuit High School:
OPERATING COSTS: To make our education available to as many students as possible, we do not charge a tuition that covers the actual cost of educating each student. That leaves a shortfall, per student, in the operating budget. This shortfall is made up by donations from parents, alumni and friends of Jesuit to the Jesuit High School Annual Fund, and by those who sponsor and attend the annual PACE Gala & Auction.
CAPITAL PROJECTS: The current campaign, Building for the Future, began in 2003 and is designed to meet many of the capital needs identified in our 20-year strategic plan. Completed projects include: (2004) Relocation/Remodel Counseling and Campus Ministry Centers, Land Acquisition; (2005) Relocation/Remodel Office of the President and Development Office; (2006) Student Athletic Center, Fire Road, Electrical Retrofit, Classroom Air Conditioning; and (2008) Chem Lab Remodel. Currently we are in the final phase of fundraising for The Chapel of the North American Martyrs. The Chapel project includes construction of the Chapel, along with land acquisition, a new school entrance and traffic signal, along with parking and landscaping.
SCHOLARSHIP & PROGRAM ENDOWMENTS: Growing our endowment so we can increase the amount of financial aid awarded each year to students is a important part of our Strategic Plan. We currently provide over $900,000 per year in tuition assistance to over 20% of our student body through our Jesuit Scholarship Endowment and other donations. Growing individual endowments (Christian Service, Campus Ministry, Fine Arts, etc.) is important so we can continue to enhance our co-curricular programs.
