Christmas Collections
Food Drive, Men's Coat/Sleeping Bag/Blanket Drive, and Wellspring Giving Tree

Jesuit sponsors three different collections beginning November 28 and ending December 13:

Food Drive: Operation Cratchit collects canned food and staples for the families  served by Stanford Settlement.  Individual students, classes, student council, and  various clubs pull together to continue this tradition that goes back to the 1960’s.  Donations will be collected before school in the back lot.  This year’s goal is 80,000 pounds of food.

Men’s Coats, sleeping bags, and blankets: Gently used men’s coats, jackets and heavy sweatshirts are greatly needed by the men at Loaves and Fishes; large and extra large sizes are particularly welcome.  We also collect sleeping bags and blankets. Sophomores will be collecting donations in the front parking lot before and after school each day of  the drive.

Wellspring Giving Tree:  In the past, the staff of Wellspring Women’s Center  has requested gifts for children.  This year, however, they are seeking more basic  supplies such as toothpaste and diapers. A list of requested items is available by  contacting Maureen Pryor at pryorm@jhssac.org.  Items may be placed under the  Giving Tree in the cafeteria or dropped off in Christian Service.
