On Friday, January 5th, the JV Gold soccer team was on the road against Rocklin in what proved to be a rainy, messy game. The entire first half was played in the middle of the field, with both teams taking turns turning it over. The heavy rain proved to be difficult for both sides to play their respective games, and neither team put up any offensive threats. In the second half, the rain eased up a bit and play on both sides of the ball improved. The Thunder had some real scoring opportunities – but keeper Ian Menz came through with 3 huge saves before Rocklin finally found the back of the net near the end of the game. The Marauders came right back though, and Donovan Carrillo found Jack Sauls on the run right in front of the goal. Sauls was able to score without breaking stride. Game ended Jesuit 1- Rocklin 1.
