Jesuit Varsity Soccer won 5-0 in their opener vs. Natomas. The team maintained possession in the opponent’s half in the early part of the game, with the Nighthawks only getting a couple attacking chances in the first half. Soon enough the first goal was scored, about twenty minutes into the first half. Julian Churchill scored on a cross ball on a redirected ball to the lower right corner. A little bit later in the first half, Luke Bone covered some distance with the ball  and once he got outside the box,  hit a beauty that rattled in the far bottom right corner. The  third goal of the half was off a corner kick, where a floating but direct ball was delivered, right to where Matthew Kahn headed it over the keeper. First half ended Jesuit 3-0.
Jesuit was explodied right out of the gates to start the second half, with two pretty early goals. The striker on the left passed the ball to Zach Lozano on the right, who eluded the keeper and got the ball behind him and into the net, falling to the ground as he scored. The final goal, Elijah Beverley beat the goaltender to the ball and slammed it home to ice the game. Final Jesuit 5- Natomas 0.
