As reported in the news Tuesday, March 31, the State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond shared his opinion that California schools may not return this year and asked schools to plan for that possibility.

It is unclear at this point if/when official guidance or directives from the state will be shared regarding closing through the end of the school year.

We want to reassure you that Jesuit Sacramento is closely monitoring this and making any decisions at this time is premature. Distance learning is continuing as scheduled.

Jesuit administration is also in contact with Sacramento Office of Education, Diocese of Sacramento and public health authorities. All are working together to provide for the safety of our students, faculty, staff and families.
