Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Polo Lopez holds both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Studio Art from California State University Sacramento- with an emphasis on painting and drawing. A lifelong interest in art fuels his passion for the subject matter, specializing in figurative stylistic work. 

In addition to teaching, Lopez also coaches the Freshman volleyball team in the spring.
