Pack running was the key to victory at the Delta League Championships as both the varsity and frosh-soph squads came away with dominant wins. Junior Matt Strangio returned from injury to repeat as the Delta League Champion in 16:25 and to lead a sweep of the first three places. Junior Chase Gordon was the runner-up also in 16:25 and senior Colin Ryan ran 16:26 for third as the three pulled away from Zeno Castiglioni of Davis in the final half mile. Senior Antonio Vargas hung with the top pack in 5th in 16:39 while senior Anthony Rogado sealed the victory for the Marauders in 8th in 17:02. Senior Miles Worthen was 14th in 17:24 and senior Colin Brannan was 22nd in 17:56. The Marauders scored a mere 19 points in its victory over 2nd place Davis and 3rd place Cosumnes Oaks for its 4th Delta League title in a row and 44th title overall.

The frosh-soph team won their third straight title with the scoring five finishing within a span of 6.1 seconds. Sophomore Michael Chambers finished in 11:50 for runner-up honors while freshman Braden King led the next four finishers for Jesuit in 5th in 11:51. Freshman Tyler Offerman was 6th in 11:53, freshman Gavin Joaquin was 7th in 11:54 and sophomore Joe Ryan was 8th in 11:56. Sophomore Tommy Gee ran 12:00 for 12th while freshman Joey Ryan was 17th for the Marauders in 12:11. The team won with 28 points over 2nd place Davis and 3rd place Elk Grove.

The Marauders head to Sub-sections next Saturday, November 3. and Frogtown in Angels Camp in search of bids to the SJS Section Championships.
