Christian Service and the VIP Program
Distinguishing the Two Programs
In line with our mission and graduation requirements, all students at Jesuit High School are required to participate in Christian Service during each of their years at Jesuit High School. Each grade level has its own requirements that are explained in an in-class orientation at the beginning of each school year.
Freshman and Sophomore students are allowed to complete some of their service requirement in on-campus service opportunities that directly benefit Jesuit High School. Such opportunities will be advertised in Google Classroom as they become available.
The Advancement Office coordinates the Volunteers in Partnership (VIP) program. This program requires families to volunteer at least 25 hours of service in support of school events or activities over each school year. Students can earn up to 10 hours of a family’s requirement. Additional information on this program is available at http://www.jesuithighschool.org/vip.
Please note that these two requirements exist separately from one another and students are not allowed to submit service at one event for both Christian Service credit and VIP credit. ‘
Freshmen and Sophomores should contact Ms. Brabec with any questions about receiving Christian Service credit for on-campus events.
