Flex Period Clarification
What to do when Flex is at beginning or end of day

Post

To help reduce the number of students on campus, students with Flex at the beginning of the day may arrive prior to the start of their first meeting of the morning. Similarly, students with Flex at the end of the day may leave at the conclusion of their last assigned class period. More specifically:

  • Students assigned to Flex during 1st period should report to campus between 9:20a and 9:50a for their weekly COVID screening. They can be dropped off during their normal grade-level drop off window if necessary, but they are not required to be on campus until 9:20a
  • Students assigned to Flex during period 4 (which ends their first day on campus) are allowed to leave campus for the day after the completion of their 3rd period class.
  • Students assigned to Flex during period 5 (which begins their second day on campus) are allowed to arrive on campus at any time prior to the start of an assigned collaboration period or period 6
  • Students assigned to Flex during period 8 (which ends their second day on campus) are allowed to leave campus for the day after the completion of their 7th period class.

If necessary for any reason, all students are always welcome to check into their assigned grade-level flex period location rather than arriving late or leaving early.
