Ryan,
During the four years you have attended Jesuit, I have seen continued growth in you, spiritually.  Prior to Jesuit, it was clear God was leading you down a path of fulfilling your compassion inside.  Volunteering your time and talents, performing and interacting with the Seniors at various Assisted Livings.  Through that experience and strong connections, enabled you to lead worship for Union Gospel Homeless.  Because of Jesuit, and their strong support of required service hours, you continued leading worship for the shelter throughout high school, and also took on roles at Jesuit as a Big Brother, Spiritual leader with retreats and Kairos, etc.  I am so proud and honored you are following what is really what is most important to God; We are called to disciple and help others, give to those in need, evangelize and spread His word.. So glad your plans are to continue down that path at Point Loma Nazarene.  So proud of the person that you have become and the direction you are going.  Really listening to Him requires the right attitude in our hearts.  To receive his instructions, we must want to do His will.  If we go after our own desires, we will receive distorted and confusing messages that will not be God’s voice at all.  Stay strong and faithful to Him even in the most conflicting situations you come across… God honors the heart that is fully surrendered to Him.  I love you now and for always my amazing son.

Love mom.
