Where students lead on and off the stage
No experience necessary. All are welcome! Jesuit Drama is a co-educational, co-curricular program of Jesuit High School’s Visual and Performing Arts Department.
The Black Box is staffed by over a dozen trained theater professionals and teaching-artists (many alums themselves). For 59 years, generous Drama Patrons have supported our student-centered, Ignatian approach to theater, helping build the Black Box into a vibrant, well-equipped creative space. Alumni have gone on to Oscar, Tony, Emmy, and regionally-nominated work in the arts.
Jesuit Drama students come together and work according to five core values:

Our program produces at least three shows a year: a fall play, a winter musical, and a spring touring-show, and there are several opportunities for our many talented students to participate both on and off stage.
