Summer High School

About the Summer High School Courses

Jesuit Sacramento is offering in-person summer school courses on our campus. Courses will offer high school students the opportunity to take credit courses (where the grade is listed on the student’s transcript) and enrichment courses. 

All courses meet Monday through Friday (excluding June 19th and July 3rd for observed holidays.) Please pay close attention to the start dates for each class. 

High school level courses are offered in academic subjects for female and male students entering grades 9-12. 

Pre-requisites, attendance

All courses meet the same standards and cover the same material as the regular school year courses. Credit courses meet U.C. “a-g” requirements.

You are strongly advised to review any course pre-requisites and consult with your child’s academic counselor to ensure that your student is ready and qualified to take the course that you have requested. It is also your sole responsibility to be sure that your child’s school will accept credit for this course. Daily attendance in class for credit classes is mandatory. Our attendance policy allows for 1 absence during each semester. If a student misses more than 1 day of class per semester, credit cannot be granted for the course. 

Incoming Freshmen

Incoming Freshmen are only allowed to take credit courses after a careful review of the individual candidate’s academic performance, recommendations and test scores and following our challenge testing in late April.

Freshman Launchpad: Jesuit Prep
Jesuit Prep — Incoming Class of 2030, this one's for you! Get a head start on your required reading, meet your future classmates, and get comfortable on campus before day one. You'll build study habits, learn the Jesuit tech tools, and brush up on math and science fundamentals — all so fall feels like a breeze, not a leap.

Math
Whether you're racing ahead or locking in your foundation, we've got a track for you: Algebra I, Geometry XL, and Pre-Calculus Honors all run the full six weeks and pack a full credit's worth of learning into summer. Prefer to shore things up before the school year? Algebra I Review is built for exactly that.

Science
Hands-on, lab-heavy, and built to stick: Chemistry and Physics both run the full session with real experiments and real projects — no textbook-only learning here.

Social Science
U.S. History dives into the people, politics, and ideas that shaped the country. Human Geography gets you thinking like a global citizen — reading maps, cultures, and current events with sharper eyes.

Gear Up for What's Next
The College Application Workshop is a small, focused, 10:1 class built for rising seniors ready to tackle personal statements, the Common App, and everything in between. Two sessions to choose from, so there's no excuse to wait until fall to get started.
