Varsity (3-1, 1-0) lost 9-4
JV (3-1, 1-0) won 5-1

When we scheduled games against Monte Vista we knew they would be a tough opponent. The JV game was impacted by heavy rain and a lightning strike close to the field which caused a 30 minute delay. Our Marauders played aggressively on offense and defense. Our five goals were scored by four different players. The defense controlled their end of the field and was able to force several turnovers. Multiple saves were made in the goal and only one goal was allowed. The JV Marauders earned the victory over the Monte Vista Mustangs 5-1.

The Varsity game was very physical from start to finish. Jesuit put in the first goal in the game’s first minute. Monte Vista quickly made it one to one and the battle was on. The game included more penalties than usual which impacted both teams. Our Marauders kept working for the full game but came up short losing 9-4. The loss was a tough one but we will use it to improve moving forward. How we handle adversity will be the true measure of our program this season.

Varsity plays at 5pm on Tuesday, March 20th at home against Vista del Lago. The JV game is at 3pm.
