STEM, Arts and Sport Camps – Terms and Conditions

This document contains the terms and conditions for registration and participation in Jesuit High School Sacramento’s Summer STEM, Arts and Sport Camps for 2026. These policies are subject to change and will be available online on the registration portal and on our website at www.summeratjesuit.com. Significant changes to these policies will be communicated as they occur to families with a completed registration via the primary email address listed on the registration account.. We can not describe every scenario that will arise. Final interpretation and administration of these policies are at the discretion of the Director of Summer Programs and the Administration at Jesuit High School.

This information and more is available in our Frequently Asked Questions pages as well at www.summeratjesuit.com. The policies below apply to STEM, Art and Sport Camps only. For information regarding policies related to High School Level Credit Classes and Camp Marauder, please refer to those specific program policies.

Conflict Resolution / Communication

Consistent, timely, and open communication among teachers, students, and parents is essential to supporting students along their journey while partnering with parents, the student’s primary educators. Jesuit High School utilizes various communication platforms that support quality communication (see the Academics section of our Student Parent Handbook for more details about these platforms) though email is the primary means of direct communication. Inevitably, situations arise where greater clarity is needed or where a conflict arises that requires resolution among the school, the parents, and the student. In order to promote consistent communication, to allow decisions and situations to be resolved at the proper level, and to promote the development of quality communication skills for students, Jesuit implements the following process for communication and conflict resolution. In almost all instances, Jesuit asks that students are the first to communicate with a teacher/coach/moderator when there is a need for a resolution, clarification, or further dialogue. If the student does not feel the question or concern is resolved as a result of the initial outreach, the student’s parents should reach out to the teacher/ coach/ moderator. Jesuit High School realizes that some students may need extra support in crafting a message or preparing to talk to a teacher/ coach/ moderator and we encourage parents to work with their sons if needed. In other cases, it may be necessary for a parent to reach out first if the circumstances require. In these cases, it is important for parents to note the circumstances preventing the initial student initiated contact. If, after the student and the parents have attempted to find a resolution through direct contact with the appropriate teacher/ coach/ moderator, then we ask that the parent contact the Office for Summer Programs. If a family does not attempt to find resolution with the appropriate person at the proper level, the school will ask that this inquiry be redirected before being considered by the supervisor. The school also realizes that there are times when the concern or conflict requires that the supervisor is contacted first. In these cases, it is important for the student or parent to note the circumstances preventing the initial communication to the teacher/ coach/ moderator. Tuition / Financial Aid / Refund / Cancelation Policy

Tuition is due in full upon registration. Exceptions are subject to approval by the Director for Summer Programs Please contact the Office for Summer Programs if you have questions regarding this requirement. We are happy to help.

Financial aid is not available for Sports and Academy Camps.

Refunds of tuition paid can be awarded depending on the timing of the request. Requests must be submitted by a parent or guardian listed on the original registration forms in writing via email to summerschool@jesuithighschool.org.

Cancellation requests submitted by a student only will not be considered. The time and date stamp on the emailed request will be used to determine refund eligibility. Jesuit High School is not responsible for technology issues or delays related to refund requests.

If a request to cancel for registration in a is received prior to May 30th, the family is eligible for a 100% refund of the tuition fees paid to date.

If a request to cancel for registration in a STEM, Art and Sport Camp is received after 12 midnight on May 30th, a late cancellation fee of $50 will be deducted from the refund amount.

If a request to cancel for registration in a STEM, Art and Sport Camp is received after the first day of camp, the family is not eligible for a refund.

To request a refund, please send an email to summerschool@jesuithighschool.org. This policy is administered at the discretion of the Director for Summer Programs.

Students dismissed from a summer program are not eligible for a refund. The refund policy for all Summer Programs is interpreted and administered at the discretion of the Director of Summer Programs.

Jesuit High School reserves the right to cancel a course or camp for any reason including but not limited to low enrollment in a particular section, inclement weather or hazardous conditions. Students and families would be eligible for a full refund back to the payment method used at the time of registration. In this scenario, the family will be contacted via email and a response requested.

How do I register for camp?

Please visit our Summer registration portal at www.summeratjesuit.com

How do I know if there is still room in a camp?

Please visit our registration site at www.summeratjesuit.com. If a camp appears as an option for registration, then there is still room available. If a camp shows that it is closed and taking a waiting list, the camp has reached capacity. Sports Camps, STEM and Art Camps have a one-time fee which should be paid by credit card at the time of registration.

What if I purchased a certificate at my elementary school’s auction? How do I use the certificate?

There was a letter attached to the certificate that includes a coupon code. Visit our registration site and when prompted on the payment page and enter the coupon code. If you have an older certificate, please contact us via email at summerschool@jesuithighschool.org for information.

What if I have already registered and I want to make changes to the camps that my student is registered for? Can I make changes online?

No. If you need to change or cancel a camp, please send us an email at summerschool@jesuithighschool.org. We’ll contact you.

My student needs to miss one day of camp—can my camp fee be pro-rated?

No. Camp fees cannot be pro-rated. Please let the coach or camp leader know about the absence on the first day of camp.

What is the cancellation policy?

Prior to June 1st – 100% refundable

June 1st to the first day of camp – a $50 late cancelation fee will be deducted from the refund

After camp begins – refunds are given at the discretion of the Director of Summer Programs.

Are parents allowed to stay and watch a sports camp?

No. Currently Jesuit High School is working to keep policies in place to mantain safety and security of students and staff members.

Is financial aid available?

Unfortunately, financial aid is not available for STEM, Art and Sport Camps. Financial aid is available for Camp Marauder. Please complete the application online on our registration portal.

My student is participating in a camp in the morning and a camp in the afternoon. Can they stay on campus between camps? Is there adult supervision?

The student is welcome to stay on campus but there is no adult supervision between camps. Students will need to make their own way to the next activity.

Is the library open over the summer? Can my student stay after class to study or wait for a ride?

The library is not open over the summer. Students are welcome to stay on campus but there is no indoor area open and no adult supervision. The campus is open and students are welcome to take advantage of our beautiful campus including picnic tables and outdoor benches.

Do I need to buy new equipment for my student to participate in a sports camp?

There are a few items that will be required for particular camps for safety and good hygiene (ie, shin guards for soccer camp, knee pads for volleyball camps, mouth guards for rugby and lacrosse camps, comfortable athletic shoes for track camp – for example.) Otherwise, if your son or daughter has equipment already for a particular sport or could borrow equipment from a friend, that would be great. Please do not feel obligated to purchase expensive new items. We will have a LIMITED number of items available at each camp whenever possible for student use.

I’d like to sign my son or daughter up for a sports camp but they’re just starting out and have no experience. Are these camps only for experienced, competitive players?

Your son or daughter would be more than welcome to join us! Each camp is tailored to suit both students who are just trying out a new sport as well as seasoned athletes looking to sharpen their skills. Each of our coaches have many years of experience and (in partnership with their high school and college level camp counselors) are very good at making sure that campers learn something new and have some fun at the same time.

How will I know where to drop-off and pick-up my student for camp?

Approximately 10 days prior to the start of each STEM, Art and Sport Camp, you will receive an email with helpful information regarding drop-off, pick-up, what to bring, what not to bring and any updates. If your student is registered for multiple camps, you’ll receive multiple messages since each camp has slightly different information required.

What if someone other than a parent will be dropping off or picking up my student. How do I let the coach / teacher know?

Our registration portal asks for the names and contact information for individuals who are authorized to pick up and drop off a student at camp. This information can be edited at any time prior to the first day of camp by logging in to your registration account.

I noticed that on the registration page, I can list a secondary household. What does that mean? Is this my emergency contact?

No. A secondary household is defined as a second parent or guardian at a different physical address who has custody of the student, should be contacted with camp updates and should be given the same rights as the parent who completes the original registration. An emergency contact is someone who should be contacted and can authorize medical care and treatment in case of an emergency when a parent or guardian cannot be reached. If you have questions about this policy, please feel free to contact the Office for Summer Programs at summerschool@jesuithighschool.org. We’re happy to help.

Incoming freshman students are encouraged to consider the Jesuit Prep class – formerly known as The Marauder Seminar. This class is a great fit for any student who will start at Jesuit in the fall of 2026.

Summer School 2026 – Required Textbook List
Books needed for those attending Summer at Jesuit classes

Please look for the title of the course your student is registered for and locate the book(s) required for that course. Please plan to purchase or rent these materials. As indicated below, some classes will require an ebook where the student will need to have a tablet or laptop (not a smart phone) with the textbook purchased and downloaded for use in class. Students are required to have these materials in class on the first day of instruction. Other classes may require a traditional (paper) textbook.
