Performance and Training
In response to the current school closure, the Jesuit Sports Performance Team is committed to providing guidance and support not only to our students-athletes, but the entire school community while campus is closed. Physical and mental well-being is not something to be taken for granted, therefore we will continue to reference the current research and employ standard practices to provide the very best health advice. All current research supports this balanced, minimalistic protocol for promoting comprehensive wellness and basic human performance.
Jesuit High School Strength & Conditioning is dedicated to providing all Student-Athletes with a comprehensive, safe and effective training program that optimizes athletic ability and reduces the risk of injury.
The training philosophy of the Jesuit High School Strength & Conditioning program is based on performing exercises and drills that will produce movement patterns conducive to enhancing athletic ability. These movement-based exercises are generally ground-based, complex, core driven and explosive exposing the Student-Athlete to the forces generated during sport.
Jesuit High School is partnering with the Wells Fargo Play It Safe Concussion Care Program to make sure our student-athletes have access to the leading head trauma professionals in the Sacramento area. In addition to the professional referral, we are offering additional insurance to our student-athletes and their families in the following sports: football, soccer, water polo, wrestling, basketball, rugby, baseball, and lacrosse.
