Graduation
Celebrating the Class of 2020 with a series of events

It is our sincere desire to honor the members of the Senior class and their families as they conclude their four years at Jesuit High School Sacramento. Thank you to all that have generated many great ideas.

We want you to know that the Class of 2020 is in our hearts and on our minds always and we will continue to keep everyone informed weekly.  Jesuit is working hard to deliver a meaningful graduation experience while also providing the predictability and planning that many of our families desire.

Creating a Graduation during COVID-19
A message to the Class of 2020 parents

Dear Senior Parents,

I want to take a moment to recap how our Class of 2020 celebrations came to be. The Graduation Committee, composed of administrators, faculty, staff, and parents have been planning your son’s special moment since September 2019. It evolved in response first with the unavailability of Memorial Auditorium and then with the closure of all schools across the country due to COVID-19.

Event

Senior Send-off Event

We would like to offer a save-the-date for a possible event for the Class of 2020 on August 1. The format of this event is still pending since we do not know what types of large gatherings we will be able to host at that time. The guidance from public health officials we are currently receiving does not give us great confidence that we will be able to gather, but want to hold out hope should things change faster than we expect.

Festive Cap and Gown Drive-Thru Pickup on Monday, May 4

Seniors and a car-full of their family were invited to drive through and pickup their caps and gowns. Faculty and staff lined up along the route, masked and respecting social distancing to wave homemade signs and cheer on cars. Relive the experience through the great coverage of some of our local stations.
