On Wednesday, the Marauders were on the road visiting Franklin. In a nice break from playing on a muddy, JHS field, the Reds were on the Wildcats’ turf. The Wildcats came out fighting, hitting the crossbar in the opening minutes. On a quick counter-attack a few minutes later, Anthony Alvarado passed it to Jordan Anyimi running step-for-step and Anyimi slotted it away. The JV Red was dodging bullets all half and was able to go into half up 1-0. The torrential rain and wind did neither team any favors, but Jesuit was able to score again 20 minutes into the half when Michael Roush gave a great pass to Anyimi who spun it around-on the run- to get around his defender to score. Luckily, the reds were up 2-0 with only 3 shots on frame all game.  Five minutes later, the tide started to turn. While the Wildcats were near misses all game, now they started to click. With fifteen to go Franklin scored, and that momentum carried them to score 3 minutes later to tie the game with 12 to go. The Wildcats wanted the ball more, and continued to win every 50-50 ball. With only three minutes to go, the Marauders let the tie slip away as Franklin scored again, handing the JV Red their first loss of the season.

Goals – Anyimi – 2

Assists – Alvarado, Roush
