Journeys to Migration Justice

  • Monday, November 15
  • 6:30-8:00 pm on Zoom

Your participation in this Zoom means your video will be on and we can see your face. These Zooms are recorded.

Your kind face and respectful, lean-in listening are crucial to empathy and the overall efficacy of this program.

The format of these evenings will be as follows:

  1. Encounter – stories from those who are directly impacted by this issue of injustice.
  2. Educate – speakers to provide context and data.
  3. Engage – speakers who are working to advocate for change / opportunities for students to get involved.

Sister Thea Bowman (of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration) spent her life’s work as a professor, a writer and a gospel singer.  Her life was one full of gospel joy, enduring faith and persevering prayer even in the midst of racial prejudice, cultural insensitivity and debilitating illness.  And so, we thought it fitting to honor her work with our justice series.
