Register Now! Help Prevent SCA Risk in Children and Young Adults By Getting Screened

Register for Screening

In the days following Damar Hamlin’s cardiac event on the field during Monday Night Football on January 2, there has been great dialogue surrounding the prevalence of sudden cardiac arrest in youth and/or athletes. 1 in 300 youth have an undiagnosed heart condition that puts them at risk for Sudden Cardiac Arrest. All students age 12-25 have been invited by the Kyle J. Taylor Foundation (KJTF) in collaboration with UC Davis Health and Project ADAM Sacramento to share in a great opportunity to receive a free heart screening in an effort to identify possible conditions that may lead to sudden cardiac arrest. This screening is being offered at NO COST. This free event will be held on Sunday, March 12, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm in the gymnasium at Christian Brothers High School.

These screenings are so important! The typical annual physical examination or sports pre-participation physical exam misses about 85-90% of the issues that can cause Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) in children and young adults. This free Youth Heart screening includes cardiac risk assessment, EKG, and doctor review, which takes about 40 minutes to complete. Due to high demand, please register in advance— download the flyer and scan the QR code or by visiting: https://www.kylejtaylor.org/screenings
