In their first year of official CIF competition, Jesuit’s eSports team beat the previously undefeated, number 1 team in a very intense, heart-stopping game at the Smash Bros. California State Championship. Michael Lee (‘22) saved the season with a masterful defeat in the 5th game of a best of 5. Sophomore Joel Cabral also ended up going 5 games and in an amazing reversal of fortune defeated Benjamin Franklin High School’s number 1 player! Jesuit went into the playoffs ranked #10 and had lost to Franklin in the regular season. Congratulations Ethan McHugh (‘21), Michael Lee (‘22), and Joel Cabral (‘23)!
