Graduation Dress Code
Seniors need to be neatly groomed and in dress attire for Rehearsal, Baccalaureate, & Commencement

What do graduates need to wear?

Dress attire for all graduation events is dress shoes, dark dress socks, dress slacks, collared dress shirt, tie or bow tie — athletic shoes are not permitted

Rehearsal

  • Dress attire
  • Neatly-groomed
  • Bring a change of clothes for the BBQ

Baccalaureate Mass

  • Neatly-groomed
  • Graduation gown (free of wrinkles) over dress attire
  • Only Kairos crosses/pins (no other decorations)
    • NHS, CSF, and St. Catherine of Bologna cords are for the Graduation ceremony only
  • No cap for Baccalaureate Mass

Commencement/Graduation

  • Neatly-groomed
  • Graduation gown (free of wrinkles) over dress attire 
  • Kairos crosses/pins and approved cords only:
    • NHS, CSF, or St. Catherine of Bologna cords
  • No other decorations allowed for the ceremony 
  • Cap (tassels on caps to be worn on the right side)

Cap & Gowns

Distributed at rehearsal. Please remove inevitable wrinkles from the packaged gowns by gently steaming the garment or tumble-dry on low. DO NOT IRON because the fabric WILL melt.
