Overview

The Fundraising Events Manager plays a critical and visible role in advancing the mission of Jesuit High School by planning, executing, and managing a portfolio of strategic fundraising and stewardship events. The position is responsible for professional interactions with various stakeholders, enhancing donor engagement, increasing community involvement, and generating philanthropic support through compelling and successful events.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and execute all advancement-related events including, but not limited to: Annual Auction (and all related pre-auction events); Homecoming Weekend including Big Bash, Big Red Golf Tournament & Golden Diploma; President’s Dinner; Jesuit Art Event; Parent Dinners; Scholarship Event; Pre-game Socials; Alumni Events including Mentorship Day, regional events, Senior Mug Day and Godspeed Mass. Serves as liaison and partner for Loyola Guild & Boosters events.
  • Serve as on-site, day-of-event coordinator and contact for all Advancement Office events
  • Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics from inception to completion
  • Secure and manage vendor relationships (catering, entertainment, rentals, A/V, etc)
  • Work closely with Advancement team to align events with annual fundraising goals and donor stewardship strategies
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, volunteers, and the committee to ensure broad community participation and engagement
  • Support the development of event marketing and communications to include: invitations, promotional materials, emails, and post-event follow-ups
  • Track event performance and ROI; provide regular reports and recommendations for improvements
  • Evaluate the results of events in order to identify opportunities to improve future outcomes
  • Be the main point of contact for off-campus user events to facilitate best practices for proper paperwork and access to facilities
  • Coordinate and manage volunteer recruitment and training for event support
  • Coordinate the parent volunteer program on campus; manage the volunteer online platform.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and volunteers
  • Identify and solicit new event sponsors and in-kind donations
  • Work in collaboration with various departments on campus as needed to effectively and smoothly run events
  • Ensure all events reflect the school’s mission, values, and brand
  • Works in donor database (Raiser’s Edge)
  • Completes other duties as assigned

Works in Partnership with

Building relationships with members of the Jesuit faculty, staff and community is a key to success. Critical partnerships include:

  • Executive Director of Advancement to review and finalize annual event calendar, fundraising event goals and strategy 
  • Alumni Relations & Annual Giving Directors to effectively plan, execute and manage alumni and fundraising events 
  • Office of Advancement Admin Staff for acquiring and updating information, managing RSVPs and invitation lists 
  • Offices across campus including but not limited to President, Principal and Business offices and various academic and co-curricular departments for relationship building 
  • Marketing/Communication team to create marketing materials for outreach, solicitation, and event marketing 
  • Alumni, staff, volunteers, and vendors to promote teamwork

Minimum Qualifications

  • College degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning and fundraising, preferable in an educational or non-profit setting
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to build relationships across diverse constituencies
  • Experience with donor databases (i.e. Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud or similar CRM)
  • Preferred experience in computer software including Webconnex, OneCause, MailChimp and volunteer database.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends for event execution as needed

Position Details

  • Compensation range is $70,000-$72,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, retirement matching, and more.
  • This position is classified as a salaried, Exempt position
