Full-Time Information Technology – IT User Support
Jesuit High School, Sacramento, is accepting applications for a full-time Information Technology – IT User Support, until filled.
Overview
As a member of the Technology Department, this position is the front line support (Help Desk) for all aspects of technology that are used directly by faculty, staff, students and school volunteers. This position facilitates the use of Audio Visual technologies. This position assists the Network Administrator in the performance of his duties.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots major device platforms such as: Windows, Mac & Chromebooks
- Troubleshoots major software applications: MS Office, Google Workspace & Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Gives timely tech support to walk-in problems, tech ticket support and BYOD device support
- Provides event support for tech & audio visuals needs (these events occasionally occur outside normal school/work day hours)
- Evaluates, maintains and upgrades the AV systems on campus.
- Trains employees and staff for the use of Audio/Visual technology on campus
- Assist with the training of faculty and staff on various hardware platforms and software applications
- Provides general desktop and application support for faculty, staff and students
- Provides printer and copy machine support
- Assist in upgrading, maintaining and repairing hardware as directed by the Director of Technology
- Assist in the support of Google services for faculty, staff & student use
- Assists the network administrator with email, backup, security, workstation management and other services as required
- Helps maintain network documentation regarding hardware/software applications, users, procedures, logs and other related information
- Helps to support the technology of the many and varied systems, including but not limited to: cameras, student information systems, cell phones, laboratory software, digital signage, device management systems etc.
- Helps the network administrator to support the network infrastructure and services
- Helps to maintain campus PC and technology inventories
- Keeps current regarding new hardware/software products for system enhancements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Optional / Preferred But Not Required Skills
- Ability to provide live event audio video support, including proficiency with digital mixers, microphones and speakers and necessary wiring and connections.
- Ability to provide skilled support for video playback, projection, switching and streaming.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. (climb stairs carrying 30 lbs.)
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a computer

Minimum Qualifications
- 3 – 5 years in a related field
- Experience using and troubleshooting Windows PC’s, Macs and tablets in a medium sized network environment (250+ PCs, 1000+ student devices)
- STRONG ability to learn new applications and train others in their use
- Experience working with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Network Printing
- Event Audio Visual coordination
- Excellent organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of the technology team
Organizational Status
This position reports to the Director of Technology and periodically works with all Jesuit faculty, staff and students. This position also supports the other two positions within the department as needed.
Position Details
- Compensation range Hourly Rate: $24.00 – $32.00 (commensurate with experience)
- Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, retirement matching, and more.
- This position is classified as Non-exempt- Hourly
- This position requires overtime during high-demand periods; overtime is compensated in accordance with applicable labor laws.
