JESUIT CROSS COUNTRY RUNS TO CONTINUE THEIR LEGACY OF SECTION TITLES

The Marauders are back on the trail to defend their Section title for the eighth year in a row. Cross Country finished the regular season strong by winning the Delta League Championships held at William Jessup University. For the first time all season, the Marauders competed with their top five runners, and the results showed. After going back and forth with Davis for the first six spots, Jesuit had their 4-7 runners finish in a pack before the Davis 4th place finisher crossed the finish line. After Sub Sections in Angels Camp, the Marauders look to defend their Section title (last contested in 2019) at Willow Hill Reservoir Community Park in Folsom. The Varsity Boys are scheduled to run at 2:45 pm. Admission is free.

JESUIT WATER POLO PRIMED FOR SECTION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

The Marauders look to defend their Section Title against Rocklin following two thrill-filled victories that advanced them through the CIF SJS playoffs.

In the Quarterfinal match, Jesuit hosted St. Mary’s Stockton for a rematch of an early-season highly contested matchup. This game turned out to be no different, with the two teams going back and forth through two and a half quarters. Jesuit then took charge and built a five-goal lead with a few minutes to play in the third. After some late goals, Jesuit prevailed with a 15-14 victory. Next up came the top-seeded Delta League Champs, Davis. Jesuit sprinted out to a 4-1 lead after one and a 9-5 lead at halftime. The Blue Devils fought back in the second half, but the Marauder defense was tough to crack. In the last few minutes of the game, the Marauders had multiple key stops and ultimately came away with the victory 10-9.

Now back in the pool for the championship game, the Marauders will be up against the Rocklin Thunder this Saturday at 5:30 PM at the Roseville Aquatics Complex next to Woodcreek High School. All game tickets are only sold online.
