Greg Burke is a licensed certified public accountant who has served small to medium-sized businesses and their owners in the Sacramento area since 1984. Greg began his career with the Internal Revenue Service in 1978, leaving to join John Waddell & Company, CPAs. He became a shareholder in the Firm in 1989, leaving at the end of 2016 to start his own firm, Gregory M. Burke, CPA, A Professional Accountancy Corporation, where he continues to serve Sacramento’s business community.

Greg has been an active volunteer leader in California’s CPA profession serving as Chair of the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA) Board of Directors, President of the CalCPA Education Foundation Board of Trustees, and continuing to serve as a Trustee of the CalCPA Health Group Insurance Trust.

Greg Burke graduated from Jesuit High School in 1973. He maintained his ties to Jesuit through service on the Alumni Association’s Board of Directors as Treasurer (1991 – 2005) and on the Audit Committee (2018 – present). He serves on the Class of 1973’s Reunion Committee.

A lifelong Sacramento area resident, Greg earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Economics and Policy Analysis from the University of California at Davis in 1977 and his Master of Science Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1990.
