The JV Marauders kicked off early to get a muddy battle going with our East Bay rivals.  While many of the Danville sophomores promoted up to their Varsity B side, their freshmen were big, physical, and aggressive at the breakdowns.  However, the power of the Big Red Machine was simply too much for the Oaks to withstand.  With Jesuit’s offload game hampered by the slippery conditions, the first stanza saw many restarts from dropped balls.  On a dry track, the scoreline may well have doubled as Jesuit crossed the line four times in the first half.  Those tallying scores were Davin Kelly (conversion missed), Nick Blake (conversion by Hunter Modlin), Mauricio Murguia-Sarin (conversion missed), and Liam McLoughlin (conversion by David Hause).  Halftime score Jesuit 24 - Danville 0

The discussion at the half was how do we secure better ball in the wet conditions?  The boys adjusted well and put an additional man into each ruck to seal the ball.  Another quick try from Davin Kelly (conversion, Hause) saw Jesuit begin to roll in the subs.  One more from Kyle Casneaux (conversion missed) closed out the Marauder scoring.  Credit to Danville, as they battled through and picked up three trys and a conversion for a final score of Jesuit 36 – Danville 17.

Man of the Match honors were presented to Christian (CJ) Sanchez and Connor Khosrovi.
