In their second home game in as many days, the JV Red Soccer team this time faced Elk Grove on Tuesday February 6th. The Marauders took their time warming up on this sunny day and didn’t score until the 15th minute, when Joey Asfari took advantage of some commotion just outside the box. In the 23rd minute Uli Esquivel was there to clean up a keeper deflection. The score was 2-0 at half. After a short rest, the JV Red came out firing on all cylinders, scoring 4 goals in 17 minutes. First the keeper came out and Elijah Beverly pushed it past him and scored unassisted. Three minutes later, Beverly struck again off a pass from Aiden Baker. Right after that, Zach Lozano stuck with his attack and scored putting in his own deflected shot. Beverly then scored his third goal unassisted. In the 69th minute, Cooper McGrail had a nice shot dropping in just behind the keeper. A PK was called in the closing minutes and Michael Raff stepped up and made it count. Just before the whistle Elk Grove OG’d the Marauders’ final goal. FINAL SCORE JESUIT 9- ELK GROVE 0.
