Register Now! Help Prevent SCA Risk in Children and Young Adults By Getting Screened

1 in 300 youth have an undiagnosed heart condition that puts them at risk for Sudden Cardiac Arrest.  We are excited to share that on Saturday, August 27, 2022, the Kyle J. Taylor Foundation (KJTF) in collaboration with UC Davis Health and Project ADAM Sacramento are hosting a Free Youth Heart Screening for the Sacramento community. The screening is open to anyone ages 12-25 years of age at NO COSTThis free event will be held from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm in the gymnasium at Jesuit High School.  These screenings are so important! The current annual physical examination or sports pre-participation physical exam misses about 85-90% of the issues that can cause Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) in children and young adults. This free Youth Heart screening includes cardiac risk assessment, EKG, and doctor review, which takes about 40 minutes to complete. Due to high demand, please register in advance by scanning the QR code on the attached flyer or by visiting: https://www.kylejtaylor.org/screenings .

If you would like to learn more about Sudden Cardiac Arrest in youth and what will happen at the heart screening on August 27, please visit the KJTF website at www.kylejtaylor.org or email hs-projectadam@ucdavis.edu.
