The Jesuit High School Varsity Baseball team won the Sierra Foothill League title against Granite Bay High School in the last week of April. Jesuit came into the series with a record of 15-10 and a Sierra Foothill League leading 11-4 record. Granite Bay was a game back at 10-5, and this series against them would decide the winner of the league.

Jesuit opened the series on the road at Granite Bay. Jesuit led with pitcher Dillon Pratt ’26 on the mound, who threw a great game, with 4 scoreless innings as Jesuit went into the bottom of the 5th inning leading 6-0. However, Granite Bay rallied and was able to tie the game up, sending it into extra innings with 3 runs in the sixth and seventh innings. Even though Jesuit had just given up the lead, they got it right back in the 8th, adding five more runs and giving them an 11-6 lead. The Marauders were able to close out the game winning by a score of 11-8.

With a win in hand, Jesuit needed only one more to finish the job, this time at home against Granite Bay. Jesuit had pitcher Theodore Rios ’26 on the mound for the first inning. He gave the team a scoreless frame, giving up no runs, before pitcher Sammy Kane ’26 came into the game and threw 4 scoreless innings while striking out 7 of the 14 batters he faced. The offense also came to play, scoring 13 runs. Jesuit was able to walk it off in the 6th by run-ruling Granite Bay, winning 13-3.

With the series win, Jesuit secured their first Sierra Foothill League title in only their second year in the new league.
