Keith Adams ’24 is hard to miss. He possesses a standout character whose authentic enthusiasm and willingness to lead from the front, have left an indelible mark on the community of Jesuit High School Sacramento.

Director of the Academic Support Center (ASC) Ms. Carol Rose admires how Keith instills positive energy into every one of his interpersonal interactions, and how he has the confidence to seek assistance when the need arises.

“[Keith] is full of personality and charisma and people respond to his enthusiasm; I would say that Keith’s energy is contagious,” Ms. Rose said. “One of Keith’s greatest strengths is [also] his ability to self-advocate and ask for help when he needs it.”

Nathan Brown ’24 has changed his perspective on life due to Keith’s positive influence.

“Keith is a nice reminder for me to not always take everything so seriously and just live in the moment,” Nathan said. “He has a similar effect on others too – lightening the mood and making people smile.”

The key to Keith’s success is his commitment to his values.

“Self-discovery, Self-love, and Self-appreciation is something worth striving for,” Keith said. “When you can embody these things effectively, life will reward you with the confidence and knowledge needed to achieve whatever is in your heart to do.”

In addition to these values, Keith believes that everyone should be accountable for themselves and by doing so, they will benefit their community.

“Like you, that person has their own turmoil whether it’s evident to you or not, and it would be a lot for you to ask that person to carry your cross and theirs,” Keith said. “So, in some cases, accomplishing things by yourself is being a man for others or at least showing an example of what a man can do and be like for the overall benefit of others.”

As Keith departs from Jesuit, he leaves an example of his character that has and will continue to impact others.

“The legacy I’ll leave Jesuit with will be based on how my accomplishments, actions, presence, and words made people feel and how it will continue to make people feel,” Keith said. “Who I am, what I aspire to be, [why] I decided to be an example to myself and others of what a leader could be like, is all because of what Jesuit has done for me and presented to me.”
