Part-time, Athletic Trainer
Jesuit High School (JHS) is currently accepting applications for a part-time athletic trainer.
The athletic training provides services to student athletes engaged in various school sports. The athletic trainer organizes, evaluates, educates, documents, and participates in program care, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of physical injuries. The athletic trainer also coordinates care (and referrals) of athletic injuries and communicates with coaches, athletes and their parents.
Must be willing to follow all state and federal guidelines in a potential COVID-19 environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains open, helping relationships with students in their care.
- Supports the programs that serve students and contributes to their development
- Works collaboratively and cooperatively with faculty, staff, administration, and parents.
- Provide athletic training services to student-athletes for all athletic programs.
- Provide athletic training services for home events and away events as assigned by Head Athletic Trainer.
- Act as liaison between family physicians and specialists, coaches, athletes, and their parents
- Assists in maintaining accurate records of injuries and treatments.
- Additional duties assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer
- Weekly hours as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer and Athletic Director (maximum of 18 hours per week)
Qualifications
- Must be certified by Board of Certification (BOC/ATC)
- BLS/CPR Certification
- Strong written and communication skills
- Flexible hours late nights and occasional Saturday events
