The Season of Lent
We invite you to "Learn, Pray and Grow."

President's Letter

“Now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians, 6:2

During the season of Lent, we are invited by the Church to pray, fast and give alms. In so doing, we are challenged to deepen our faith commitment. Jesuit High School is pleased to provide opportunities to “Learn, Pray and Grow” during Lent.

We begin this Wednesday, February 26, with Ash Wednesday services in the Chapel of the North American Martyrs:

  • Morning Mass before school, 8:15 – 9:00 a.m.
  • Prayer service during lunch, 11:05 – 11:35 a.m.

We hope you will also join us as we offer reflections on the Prayer of Generosity of St. Ignatius during the Novena of Grace at St. Ignatius Parish (February 27 to March 6) and our Lenten Series: In the Footsteps of Ignatius Loyola at Jesuit High School (March 4,11,18).

Additionally, our Christian Service office, along with our students, is hosting a Lenten Hospitality Drive to collect personal care items to donate to those in need.

Please join us for these opportunities to renew and deepen our faith and our experience of the spirituality of St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Jesuit Order.

I look forward to seeing you! God bless you and your loved ones.

Sincerely,

Rev. John P. McGarry, S.J.
President
