Moorings is Jesuit High School’s student-run publication that showcases art, media, and literature made by students. Our goal is to promote and share Jesuit’s creativity and ingenuity with the community. Submissions for our upcoming edition are now open!

About Moorings

Why submit?

There are many reasons that encourage students to submit there work. Some include:

• Have the chance for your work to be published in our seasonal magazine! 
• Share your talents with others! 
• Get eyes on your work throughout the community.
• Opportunity for extra credit (depending on teacher)!

What we look for:

We have six general categories of work we accept:

1. Art (Including Digital Art)
2. Photography
3. Prose (Essays/Narratives)
4. Poetry
5. Creative Videos & Short Films
6. Music

Moorings looks for pieces that tell stories, speak volumes, and make others think and reflect. To see what type of work we’ve accepted in the past, see our past publications at www.jesuithighschool.org/moorings.

Everyone is welcome to submit! Everyone can submit multiple different pieces, so if one of your submissions isn’t accepted, don’t feel discouraged!
