National School Counseling Week
A big thank you to our Jesuit counseling team!
National School Counseling Week (sponsored by American School Counselor Association) Feb 2-6, highlights the unique contributions of school counselors within U.S. school systems and their tremendous impact on student success.
Keeping with the spirit of our Ignatian identity, the philosophy of the Jesuit High School Counseling Department is rooted firmly in the Jesuit concept of cura personalis. In caring for the whole person, Jesuit counselors work to build relationships with our students from the time they enter 9th grade. The Jesuit Counseling program follows a comprehensive model; this means that a student’s counselor is available to assist with academics, college and career, and social-emotional questions or challenges. By establishing this relationship from the beginning and spending the next four years together, our counselors get to know our students better than most.
We are lucky to have a great team of counselors to support our students! Please remember to thank your counselor if you see them.
