Homecoming Dances can be a very stressful time with trying to find someone to ask to the dance, a pair of shoes that fit, and even the best place to take pictures.

After not having a formal dance in almost two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many aspects of the Homecoming Dance have changed. Student Activities Director Mr. Peter Ferrari, who is in charge of homecoming, describes the multiple changes.

“Students are required to bring masks,” Mr. Ferrari said. “The JHS Homecoming Dance is now being hosted at an off-campus venue that allows us to safely host this event outdoors in a beautiful setting.”

The dance will be hosted at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex and Mr. Ferrari explains what Jesuit High School Sacramento is doing to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

“All students are also required to affirm that they will not attend the dance if they or anyone in their household is symptomatic/ill or awaiting the results of a COVID test,” Mr. Ferrari said.

To be fully prepared for this dance, students must bring their school ID; they will not be admitted without it. In addition, students are reminded to follow the formal event dress code and the dance rules and behavior regulations. Communicate this information to your date, and arrive before 8 p.m. Departure will be allowed after 9:30 PM.

All students are expected to abide by the code of conduct listed in the Jesuit Student Parent handbook, check out page 40 for more information.
