On Wednesday, May 7, the choir hosted their Spring Choral Concert at the nearby Our Lady of Assumption Parish. This concert’s theme was “Music For Others” – a play on the phrase “Man For Others.” The music selected exemplified this theme, with a wide variety of songs ranging from Michael Jackson to traditional Hebrew Prayers.

One of the most memorable parts of the concert was the acoustics within the building. The beautiful layout of Our Lady of Assumption’s church allowed for the voices of the singers to blend perfectly, creating a great listening experience.

The choir was split up into multiple groups, with each performing two or three songs, with a few combined group songs interspersed throughout. These groups consisted of the Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, Men’s Chorus, and the combined choir.

Choir student Dante Bernardi ’26 believes that the hard work that they put in really paid off.

“I don’t think at the beginning of the year most of us could have done that well,” Dante said. “I’m proud of the freshmen and how well they did.”

The students’ cooperation and strong leadership of the choir program also paid off in the concert.

“The leadership of Mr. Vanderbout and the cooperation of the students allowed [the concert] to go so smoothly,” Dante said.

The choir’s hard work and dedication culminated in a truly impressive spring concert that embodied the theme of music for others.
