Are students allowed to wear JHS logo-wear shorts?

Yes. Beginning in the ‘26-27 school year, JHS logo-wear shorts are allowed.

*Note: students may not wear cotton sweatpants/sweatshorts, fleece material shorts/pants, mesh shorts/pants, or flannel shorts/pants.

Can students wear khaki-style or chino-style pants and shorts on Standard & Casual Attire days?

Yes. Students may continue wearing solid, single-color khaki-style and chino-style pants. Additionally, beginning in the ‘26-’27 school year, students may wear non-JHS logo-wear shorts. Small brand logos (1”-2” or smaller) of a different color are OK. Large brand logos (2” or larger) of a different color are not allowed.

Are students allowed to wear JHS logo-wear pants?

No. JHS logo-wear branded pants are not allowed, as the most common styles are sweatpants, flannel pants, and team tech-fleece pants.

Does this mean that students can wear JHS PE shorts as part of their Standard Dress/Casual Dress attire?

No. In order to promote good hygiene and proper cleanliness inside the classroom, JHS PE Shorts are to be worn for PE only. 

Are students allowed to wear jogger-style pants?

Yes. Students may wear solid, single-color jogger-style pants. Joggers, in this context, are defined as lightweight, tapered, and built for movement with ankle cuffs. The most common approved jogger-style pants are performance synthetic material (commonly worn as golf or athleisure pants).

Are students allowed to wear jeans/denim on Standard Attire days?

No. Students are only allowed to wear jeans/denim on Casual Attire days (typically on Fridays). 

Are students allowed to wear cargo-style or painter-style shorts/pants?

No.

Can students dye their hair? 

According to the Dress Code policy, student’s hair must be a natural hair color. Hair that is dyed or highlighted is only permitted in natural colors. 

Do students need a blazer on “Dress Attire” days and does it need to be branded for Jesuit?

No, on Dress Attire days, which are usually for Mass, students do not need to wear a blazer. If a student would like to wear a blazer, sport coat, or suit they do not need to be Jesuit-branded. (We do not sell any branded sport coats in any of our stores.)

Can students wear any style of shoes on Dress Attire days?

No. Students must wear formal, leather dress shoes on Dress Attire days. Leather vans are not an acceptable dress attire shoe. 

Can students wear Crocs, Birkenstocks, or moccasins?  

No.
