Multi-Week Summer 2026 Camps

Boys Sports and Conditioning (gr 7-12) – 4 weeks

Jesuit offers a 4-week agility and conditioning program for students entering grades 7 through grade 12. Individual workouts will be structured to meet the needs of incoming athletes who plan to compete in high school sports. Athletes who want to improve their strength and agility are encouraged to participate in this program.

Boys Camp Marauder (gr 5-8) – 2 week

Unleash your child’s curiosity in our robotics course personally taught by the World Champions Jesuit Robotics and Saint Francis Robotics members. In this introductory course, students develop a fundamental understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles, applying what they learn through the creation of their own autonomous robot! This dynamic, collaborative experience encourages self-discovery, fostering understanding through teamwork and mentor guidance. By the course’s end, your child will not only gain a fundamental knowledge of robotics, but also take home their personally created robot!

This course will be taught by members from the nationally ranked St. Francis & Jesuit Robotics teams (with full adult supervision.)

The human brain is one of the most complex and fascinating organs in the body. In Echelon Catapult’s Psychology and Neuroscience, students will explore the beautiful complexities of the mind on the cellular, anatomical, and behavioral level. Through a series of interactive lectures and activities, instructors will guide students through case studies and a human brain design project as they learn about the different parts of the brain, and how the neurons function. Next, students will discover the intricacies of human behavior as they learn about the fundamental theories of psychology and apply them to social interaction, emotion, and behavior through fun, engaging activities.

Start your summer with a creative experience where imagination leads the way! This 5-Day Creative Arts Camp is a hands-on, joy-filled program designed for young artists who love to make, explore, and try new things. Each day, campers dive into a different art form—including bold abstract painting, hands-on printmaking, colorful tissue paper art, textiles, and even balloon animal creation. Kids learn real artistic techniques in a supportive, age-appropriate environment that encourages experimentation, problem-solving, and self-expression. No prior art experience needed!

You will learn how to search out the best lighting and subjects for your photos and create narratives within your frame. This course will prove that photography is not always about having the fanciest equipment, but about having the best technique. Have you ever wondered what makes you sweat, why exercising makes you stronger, or how your immune system fights off disease? Answer these questions and many more in Echelon Catapult’s Anatomy and Physiology! In this engaging and interactive course, students will first explore major concepts in physiology, such as biological hierarchy, homeostasis, and cell specialization. The students will then investigate each of the major human body systems and create presentations about diseases in each of these systems. By the end of the course, students will confidently identify major systems and organs, explain numerous physiological functions, and, most importantly, have a blast learning about the human body!

Have you ever wanted to learn how cheerleaders perform exciting routines, build team spirit, and showcase confidence? Join our Beginner Cheer Camp for a fun-filled and energetic week where students will be introduced to the exciting world of cheer! Led by Sacramento State Teacher Candidate Zoe Galley, who brings over 8 years of cheer experience and college dance team training, this camp is designed to help students learn foundational cheer skills in a positive and supportive environment. Throughout the week, students will learn basic cheer motions, jumps, dance routines, and chants. Campers will also participate in team-building games, confidence-building activities, and creative opportunities such as designing cheers and learning performance techniques. Safety, teamwork, and sportsmanship will be emphasized while students build strength, coordination, and performance skills. By the end of the camp, students will perform a short showcase routine to celebrate their hard work and new skills. Most importantly, campers will have fun, make new friends, stay active, and gain confidence while exploring the exciting sport of cheer!

In Echelon Catapult’s Biology class, students will discover several biological processes which drive these functions through engaging and hands-on activities. Students will leave the week-long program confident in their knowledge of cellular structures and functions, the foundations of inheritance, the interactions between living and nonliving in nature, and with a repertoire of fun facts to tell their friends!

Have you ever looked up at the night sky and wanted to know more about the planets, stars, and galaxies that you saw? What if we told you that the sky you see is really what it looked like in the distant past? Or that the trajectory of a star changes the wavelength of its observed light? In this class, students will learn about the celestial bodies and systems and what lies in between, all of which make up outer space. Then they will learn introductory topics in astrophysics, light, and optics to apply how the physical interactions between those objects govern the workings of the universe.

Students will have the opportunity to learn all of the events, culminating with a mini-meet on the last day of the camp.

Co-ed Fashion and Customization of Clothing with Paint (gr 6-8) – 1 week

Customization of the wardrobe gives your personality and style a new voice! Aiming to take the basics of painting into the world of fashion, students will learn all the skills needed to customize their first piece of clothing. We will start with painting basics, learn about the idea/design conception process, and finish the week fully customizing our selected piece. From anime character to intricate flower, if you’ve ever thought your wardrobe needed something more, this is the place to start!

Each student will need to bring:

1. A plastic container for a painting water bowl

2. A pair of canvas shoes (converse, vans, toms, etc.) or denim top/bottom (jackets, jeans, shorts, etc.) to customize in this class (cotton material items – ie: shirts, sweatshirts, etc. WILL NOT work for this class).

Take home: canvas pouch, pencil/eraser, brush set, paint pots, clips/boards, and all original work

Co-ed Creative Knitting (gr 5-8) – 1 week

In this one week camp, students will dive into the amazing world of knitting! Campers will learn the basic knitting skills of casting on, knit and purl stitches as well as simple pattern reading. They will also become familiar with different yarn types, needle sizes and the vocabulary of knitting. Throughout the week, they will practice these skills, creating projects like scarves, headbands, hats and small toys. This will be done in a collaborative, fun and relaxed environment where students develop patience, focus and creativity while working with their fellow campers and alone. At the end of the week, each student will leave with the knowledge they need to continue knitting as well as finished projects they created themselves.

Co-ed Japanese Manga and Anime Drawing Camp (gr 6-8) – 1 week

Japanese manga dates back to the late 1700’s, yet today both manga and anime are multi-million dollar industries in the US alone! In this camp, students will look at the cultural history of manga/anime in Japan, learn popular mangaka (Japanese manga artist) styles alongside general drawing instruction, review common story building devices, and finish the week creating our own unique manga page combining all of the skills learned throughout the week. As we draw, anime adaptations of popular manga will play in the background to create a truly immersive manga/anime experience!- take home: art bag, pen sets, pencils/erasers, and all original work

Co-ed Hand-Sewing Camp (gr 6-8) – 1 week

Creating crafts that can be used in everyday life is a rewarding and fun way of expression. In this hand-sewing camp, students learn to sew entirely by hand, without using sewing machines. Campers learn essential hand-sewing techniques such as threading a needle, tying knots, using basic stitches (running stitch, backstitch, whip stitch, and blanket stitch), and sewing buttons and simple closures. They also practice measuring, cutting fabric, following simple patterns and decorating their projects with sequins and embroidery. Students will complete several projects such as felt crafts, stuffed animals, bags, hair clips and other accessories. By the end of the week, campers finish their projects and leave with practical sewing skills, increased confidence, and an appreciation for slow, careful, handmade work; skills they can continue using at home.

This camp differs from the photography camps because its primary focus is photo editing. Photoshop camp will cover how to edit photos in Lightroom such as adjusting color, brightness etc, and it will also teach your camper how to Photoshop photos they will take throughout the week. At the end of camp they will be able to remove objects out of a photo, edit colors, and even make collages or ads of toys they will bring into class!
