Volunteering is vital to the success of Jesuit High School and builds a strong sense of community within our families. All families are required to volunteer a total of 25 hours in support of school events or activities during the school year. This can include fundraising events, athletics, Loyola Guild & Booster events, and many other important organizations throughout campus.
As part of our curriculum at Jesuit High School, Freshman-Seniors are required to engage in service each year. We encourage service to be incorporated into each student’s everyday life.
Rising Sophomores and Juniors can work towards fulfilling their year-long service requirement during the summer. They are welcome to begin service to count towards the next academic year the day after Final Exams conclude. Students should follow all guidelines explained during the orientations they received in their English 1 (Freshmen) or Theology 2B (Sophomores) classes.
Internship placements for rising Seniors were finalized and several members of the Class of 2023 will spend the summer serving in positions with our very own Jesuit High School alumni, current parents, and alumni parents, working in several industries including medicine, real estate, construction management, technology, and agribusiness. Congratulations to all of the rising seniors for giving yourself a competitive edge and gaining real-world professional experiences.
Students will be taking school ID photos. Please report on time, be neatly groomed, and wear standard dress code attire. (Wear a JHS collared shirt and chino/khaki pants or shorts.)
Direct Link to order photos will be shared
Parents, please join us for the Parent Welcome Coffee during/following check-in! You are invited to enjoy a short parent/guardian reception hosted by the Loyola Guild and shop the Cove.
The freshmen are accompanied by their Big Brothers throughout Orientation. Their Big Brother accompanies them through the rotations to ensure they get to the correct locations. They enjoy lunch and end the day touring campus.
Drop-off and pick-up on American River Drive only. Parents who plan to stay for coffee may turn right on the access road and park in the lot off of our main entrance off O’Donnell and Fair Oaks.
Students will attend all their classes on the first day of class. Meet teachers, learn class expectations, and find classrooms to get prepared for your first full week of classes the following Monday. (1-2-3-4-5-6-7) indicates the period and order of the classes throughout the day. Classes begin at 8:20 and end at 3:00 pm. Each class is 40 minutes long. Lunch is from 11:40 am-12:30 pm.
TIPS! The easiest way to view the Bell Schedule is to use the Quicklinks drop-down menu at the top of the website. You can also visit the school calendar at jesuithighschool.org/calendar and use the filter Schedule Rotation to show the class rotations for each day. Sync the school calendar to your personal Google or Apple Calendar! Learn how to subscribe to the most up-to-date version of the calendar on our Communication FAQs.
Jesuit has two official stores and an Exchange closet. Our two authorized sales providers operate independently of each other and offer different items. Please check your receipt if you are unsure where you made your purchase. PE Clothes are available for purchase through the Cove, in-store only.
