Weekly Update – December 15, 2022

Update

Sacramento County has seen a rise in COVID-19 case rates recently.  As we prepare for Winter break to begin on Friday, we’d like to share a few reminders to help everyone in the Jesuit community stay healthy and safe:

  • Consider wearing a mask in indoor public places
  • Cover your face any time you need to cough or sneeze and wash your hands frequently
  • Please continue to stay home when sick, whether it’s COVID-19 or something else that can get others sick

Testing after break

All Jesuit faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to utilize COVID-19 home test kits before returning from break. Health insurance plans may cover up to 8 free (or reimbursed) at-home tests per month and families with Medi-Cal or Medicare can take their card to a pharmacy and ask for free tests. More specifically, all should:

  • Test the night before (January 3) or the morning of return (January 4). Classes will resume at 8:20am on January 4.
  • Repeat testing on or about January 6
  • If positive for COVID-19, isolate at home and contact our school nurse, Jennifer Riffle at (916) 482-6060 ext 275 or Jennifer.Riffle@jesuithighschool.org. Nurse Riffle will guide you through the return to school process using the most recently approved Sacramento County Public Health guidelines for schools.

We want to wish everyone a very safe and Merry Christmas as we all prepare to enjoy this holiday season with family and friends!
