The Ignatian and Valedictorian Awards are considered Jesuit’s highest Extraordinary Awards.

Nicholas Kasten IGNATIAN AWARD: Given to the senior who has been deemed most outstanding in many phases of school life.

Matthew Mellas VALEDICTORIAN AWARD: Given to a senior in recognition of his outstanding achievements during his high school years.

John Paul Leatherby SALUTATORIAN AWARD: Given to the senior who was an outstanding representative of his class, both in academics and as a religious leader. He opens the Commencement Exercises with an invocation for his classmates and friends.

Charles Diaz & Robert Lee PRESIDENT’S AWARD: Given to those seniors who have distinguished themselves during their four years at Jesuit by scholarship, excellence in conduct, outstanding devotion to the school, and by participation in both curricular and co-curricular activities.

William Lee & Ryder Spradlin PRINCIPAL’S AWARD: Given to those seniors who have distinguished themselves by their school spirit, service, and general excellence.

Thomas Contreras FR. PEDRO ARRUPE, S.J. AWARD: Given to the senior who has excelled in his concern for Christian social justice.

Sean Vincent Paredes JESUIT SCHOOLS NETWORK AWARD: Given to the senior who embodies the “Profile of the Graduate at Graduation,” qualities that lead to action for others in response to the spirit and presence of Jesus Christ.

Alonso Lee NORTH AMERICAN MARTYRS AWARD: Given to the senior who has best demonstrated the values and attributes of the Jesuit North American Martyrs—the Patron Saints of Jesuit High School—faith, perseverance, and a commitment to putting love into action for the greater glory of God.

Adam Sherif ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF JESUIT HIGH SCHOOL SERVICE AWARD: Given to the senior who has contributed conspicuously to the activities of the school, often without recognition and always with hard work.

Alexander Benham SCHOLAR-ATHLETE AWARD: Given to the senior who has consistently maintained a high-grade point average and who has contributed significantly to the athletic program of Jesuit High School.

Nicholas Kasten SCHOLAR-ARTIST AWARD: Given to the senior who has consistently maintained a high-grade point average and who has contributed significantly to the Visual and Performing Arts program of Jesuit High School.

Samuel Gosal & Michael Sicner ALOYSIUS GONZAGA AWARD: Given to those seniors who, in the spirit of the magis, have demonstrated superior achievement in Jesuit’s academic program.
