Jesuit music program bands together for a spectacular performance
On Wednesday, April 16, Jesuit High School Sacramento held their Spring Band Concert, where the Funk Band, Prelude Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Band all performed. Their performance consisted of Silent Movie Suites, video game music, and many other interesting pieces.
Clarinet and Baritone Sax player Samuel Gegax ’25 is very proud of his bandmates’ performances, and is happy that everyone’s hard work paid off.
“I am so proud of how well everyone did,” Sam said. “I’m especially proud of my Symphonic Band’s performance since we worked really hard to get a great product.”
Flute Player Thomas Fallon ’25 is thrilled that the concert ran smoothly and was timely.
“I am very happy that we were on time for most of the concert and that we were able to keep a set timetable with everyone doing their part and having no crazy delays due to confusion,” Thomas said. “Everything was very organized.”
Sam believes that everyone should take the time to come out to a performance.
“If you know anyone in a band you probably also know how many hours we put into practicing and rehearsing, so giving up an hour and a half of your night to see the hours upon hours of work that we put into it seems like a good trade off,” Sam said.
