In its over 11 year history, the “Counter-Strike 2” skin market reached a monumental market cap of $6 billion. Yet, after a seemingly innocent update, the total market value was cut in half to just 3 billion dollars in the course of 24 hours.

Jesuit High School Sacramento’s annual Holy Bowl is one of the largest sporting events of the year. On the Friday night before the game, Jesuit hosts the Holy Bowl Rally, an opportunity for students to show up and show out to support the brotherhood.

On Wednesday, April 16, Jesuit High School Sacramento held their Spring Band Concert, where the Funk Band, Prelude Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Band all performed. Their performance consisted of Silent Movie Suites, video game music, and many other interesting pieces.

As spring begins, Jesuit High School Sacramento’s lacrosse team has kicked off their season with a strong start. Looking to push themselves in a strong year, the team holds a league record of 6-3 and an overall record of 7-4.
The lacrosse team started the season off with a winning streak against Vista Del Lago (11-7), Rocklin (16-2), Folsom (14-2), Del Oro (15-9).
Yesterday, Feb. 26, Jesuit High School Sacramento’s Orchestra and Symphonic Band performed in their Honors Music Recital.

Jesuit High School Sacramento’s cross country team has undoubtedly achieved success in the 2024 season, establishing themselves as a national powerhouse. A major component of the team is the humble and hardworking senior, Navin Kadel ’25, whose example of resilience and compassion serves as an inspiration for many.
Perseverance has been the key to Navin’s success. Cross Country Coach Thomas Witzgall ’98 has witnessed Navin’s evolution as a runner.
The spirit of a true marauder is loud and proud, and there’s no one that embodies this better than Raphael “Rafi” Edralin ’25. From hearing him on the loudspeaker to seeing him hype up the Holy Bowl crowd, Jesuit students are constantly made aware of Rafi’s presence.
As Head Cheerleader, Rafi always plans activities with enjoyment as his biggest priority.
On Thursday, Dec. 12 Jesuit High School Sacramento’s Symphonic Band and Jazz Band will perform at their annual winter band concert in the Harris Center.
Sam Gegax ’25 has been a member of the Symphonic and Jazz Band for the last four years. He is excited to see how far he and the rest of band have grown with their music throughout the year.
This Sunday, Oct. 20, Jesuit High School Sacramento opens its campus to the larger Sacramento community at its annual Open House.
At the event, teachers and students will welcome incoming students to give a sense of what life at Jesuit offers. Counselor Ms. Gianna Wheeler feels that Open House is a valuable opportunity for families considering Jesuit.
On Oct. 12, Jesuit High School Sacramento’s annual Homecoming dance will take place.
A highly anticipated event among students, homecoming is an occasion for all to participate in a classic high school tradition. Students of all grades from Jesuit are welcome to attend with a date, alone, or with friends.
Cole Arnold ’25 believes that Homecoming fosters a sense of unity among students and enables them to meet new people.
Jesuit High School Sacramento’s annual Service and Justice Agency Fair will take place on Thursday, Sept. 5, during the community period. The fair presents a valuable opportunity for anyone who’s hesitant about their service to connect with various service organizations.
Gordon Kim ’25 recalls how the fair introduced him to Loaves and Fishes, an organization dedicated to providing essentials for homeless adults and children.
“[The fair] gave me an idea of what I was getting myself into, which really helped me, since I’m one of those guys who is really uncomfortable doing things without knowing who I’m doing it for,” Gordon said.
