Michael Wood ’99
Principal

Michael Wood is the principal at Jesuit High School. He began his career in Jesuit Secondary Education at Loyola High School in Los Angeles where he spent 12 years as a Theology teacher and Dean of Students.

Michael graduated from Jesuit in 1999 and he shared his motivation for accepting for the position as Jesuit’s principal noting that “It is an honor to return to my alma mater as a leader and colleague to share my strengths, experiences, and passion with the Jesuit ministry of my origin.”

What are the benefits of this schedule?

The schedule maintains classroom instructional time and frequency of class meetings while also providing more structured opportunities for students to feel like they are part of the campus community by improving access to teachers, re-emphasizing clubs and other co-curricular programs, and giving space and time for new programs for student support to take shape and help our students flourish.

Where is the Café located on campus?

The Marauder Galley Café is located inside the Harris Center on the southwest side of Campus.

How does my student pay for his meals?

The Marauder Café takes cash and MySchoolBucks (MSB)

Student Drop-off/Pick-up
Please remember to respect neighbors and use designated drop-off areas

Freshman and Sophomores – American River Dr

Drop-off along American River Drive
No u-turns, please watch for bikers and pedestrians
Students walk and enter campus off American River Drive through gates by Parking Lot E
Remember always park on the school side of the street and be respectful of neighbors
Students should avoid crossing American River Drive, except at designated crosswalks

Juniors and Seniors – near Chapel/Gym

Please enter through the main entrance (O’Donnell Entrance off Fair Oaks)
From there you will be guided to drop your student off near the Chapel or the Gym
Students must park in campus lots with a valid permit from Dean’s Office

Jacob Lane is for Staff and Visitor parking only. No student drop-off/pick-up on Jacob Lane.

CSF Applications California Scholarship Federation (CSF) is an honors organization that recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. Fall Semester applications for new and returning members are now available in the front office and in GP206. Membership has academic qualifications – see the application for details. A grade report must be submitted with the application. Applications are due on or before Friday, January 19, 2024 and may be submitted to the Front Office or GP206. Email any questions to Mrs. Brown at judi.brown@jesuithighschool.org.
