Loyola Guild

Mothers for Others. Established in 1955, the Loyola Guild sponsors annual events with profits going towards Jesuit’s scholarship endowment. For those with a passion for retail, did you know the Loyola Guild manages our on-campus store, Marauders Cove? Volunteer opportunities are plentiful – this is a great way for parents to get involved, make lifelong friends and stay connected even after graduation! Favorite events include Christmas Tree Lane, Mother Son Dance, Grad Night and more! Join them at an upcoming meeting or become a member.

Guild Parent Representatives. Each class level has a Loyola Guild parent representative. Their role is to help coordinate with members and share upcoming relevant events. The Loyola Guild Freshman Parent Representatives Mary Maguire and Nikolas Rechtiene want to extend a special invitation to our Class of 2029 to join them at a meeting or say “hi” at the next school event. Michael Wood ’99
Principal

Michael Wood is the principal at Jesuit High School. He began his career in Jesuit Secondary Education at Loyola High School in Los Angeles where he spent 12 years as a Theology teacher and Dean of Students.

Michael graduated from Jesuit in 1999 and he shared his motivation for accepting for the position as Jesuit’s principal noting that “It is an honor to return to my alma mater as a leader and colleague to share my strengths, experiences, and passion with the Jesuit ministry of my origin.”

Emergency drills follow-up from the Dean’s Office

We successfully completed our annual campus-wide safety drills and education period on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. Students learned about evacuating campus as well as the various levels of threat that may cause an emergency alert for our campus. Student Drop-off/Pick-up and Morning Access to Campus
Please remember to respect neighbors and use designated drop-off areas, use new pedestrian access

Early morning access to campus – Main Entrance | O’Donnell and Fair Oaks Gate

Our campus will remain closed until the O’Donnell Gates open at 6:00am each morning. Students arriving for early morning practices, class meetings, or other campus activities should access campus through the Main Entrance O’Donnell Gate off Fair Oaks Blvd. To aide in the flow of traffic on and around campus, we ask all families to please drop off and pick up your student in the designated area of campus.

Freshman and Sophomores – American River Drive

Drop-off along American River Drive
No U-turns, please watch for bikers and pedestrians
Students walk and enter campus off American River Drive through pedestrian gates by Parking Lot E
Remember always park on the school side of the street and be respectful of neighbors
Students should avoid crossing American River Drive, except at designated crosswalks
All student drivers must park in a campus lot with a valid permit from the Dean’s Office. Parking permits must be renewed each school year. Sophomores may purchase after September 1. Students should purchase a permit online, then pick it up in the Dean’s Office. Please refer to the purchase site for current price and details.

Crosswalk and pedestrian access gate/path

We ask all freshmen and sophomore students to utilize the pedestrian gate and walking path to enter campus during the morning drop-off and after-school pick-up periods. The pedestrian gate will open at 7:00am each morning and will remain open until approximately 15 minutes after the start of the school day.
