Coaches’ Ignatian Formation Program aims to create well-rounded student-athletes
This year, fall and winter sports athletes at Jesuit High School Sacramento may have noticed something different about how they start their seasons: an introductory mass.
For the first time in Jesuit’s history, the Marauder cross country, water polo, and football teams all gathered in the Phelan Chapel of the North American Martyrs to celebrate mass together. In October, winter sports athletes did the same, and so will spring sports athletes later this semester.
Jesuit dunks on CB in Holy Hoops
On Saturday, Jan. 10, Jesuit High School Sacramento and Christian Brothers High School played against each other in the annual Holy Hoops game hosted at the Golden One Center. The electrifying game ended with a big 65-39 win in favor of Jesuit.
Jesuit Cross Country finishes the season strong at nationals
Jesuit High School Sacramento’s cross country team finished their season on the biggest stage of the year, as they sent seven of their best runners to Nike Cross Country Nationals (NXN). The event was held in Glendoveer Golf, Portland, and brought the best schools across the nation to the most competitive 5k race in the country.
Jesuit misses target at Wild West Shootout
The Jesuit High School Sacramento varsity basketball team was invited to the 2025 Wild West Shoutout tournament held in Reno, Nevada. The tournament is held every year as a fundraiser for the Sierra Kids Foundation, which works to help children with developmental disabilities.
Marauder cross country sets its sights on another state title
On Saturday, Nov. 1, the Jesuit High School Sacramento cross country team competed at Jessup University for the Sierra Foothill League Championship, and they secured yet another title.
Jesuit defeats Christian Brothers in 54th annual Holy Bowl
Since 1969, the Holy Bowl has been more than just a football game. It is one of the largest sporting events of the year, and fans from high schools across the region come to Sacramento City College to witness the well-known rivalry between Jesuit High School Sacramento and Christian Brothers High School.
Jesuit defeats Rio Raiders, prepares for Bellarmine Bells
On Friday, Aug. 29, Jesuit High School Sacramento’s varsity football team defeated the Rio Americano Raiders 35-0 in a lopsided game.
